January 25, 2023 marked the 15th anniversary of r/AskReddit as community and to celebrate that milestone, along with hitting 40 million subscribers, we are having special charity fundraiser!
Earlier this year, we asked the community to help us design a T-shirt to sell during this fundraiser, with 100% of the proceeds going to charity. We had a lot of great submissions and whittled it down to the top 5, which we put to a vote and the winner was the design featured at the top of this post called “AskReddit Hotline” by /u/Pleasant-Safe-8135, so congratulations to them! It was a close vote, so we decided to use the 2nd place design, "What should I name this design? [serious] by u/magicalgirldittochan for a tote bag, to keep the eco-friendly theme considering The Rainforest Trust, was the charity the community voted to support.
Our fundraiser is live starting now and will remain open until April 14th, with an expected shipping date of May 5th. We would just like to stress:
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE A PURCHASE TO DONATE!
Click here to purchase merchandise with the "AskReddit Hotline" design
Click here to purchase a tote bag with the “What should I name this design? [serious]” design
Once again, you do not have to make a purchase to donate, both links will lead to a page with a Buy/Donate button and clicking that will allow you to donate directly.
Also, if you want to share the donation campaigns with others here is a link to the collection page.
A special thanks to all the people that have participated throughout this process, from those who made designs, to those of you out there just voting. And a very, very special preemptive thanks to anyone who makes a purchase or donates to this fundraiser. Lastly, thank you to /u/mrscrankshaft from CustomInk, who has been an incredibly help both times we have done these fundraisers.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask, but aside from that you can use this thread to reminisce on some of your favorite AskReddit moments from the past 15 years.
